Team In New Round Of Appointments

DataSynapse,
Inc. (http:/ /www.datasynapse.com), a leader in high performance
distributed applications management and winner of Risk Magazine's
"2002 Software Product of the Year," announced the hires of Rick
Moran and Finn Christensen as Vice Presidents of Sales and Business
Development, Juan Lando as Vice President of Integration Services,
Jonathan Amsterdam as Senior Consulting Engineer and David Markowitz
as Vice President of Product Marketing. On the heels of Frank Cicio's
appointment as DataSynapse's new COO, the company has hired these
seasoned executives in response to its rapid client growth.
Prior
to joining DataSynapse's sales effort, Rick Moran was Founder and
CEO of Redpoint Software Inc, a leading supplier of Enterprise Risk
Management applications subsequently acquired by BARRA. Before founding
Redpoint, Moran held senior management positions with Stratus Computer
and Isis Distributed Systems. Finn Christensen brings a similar
degree of industry experience to the team. Christensen previously
held positions as the Managing Director of Asia Pacific for MKIRisk,
as well as Head of Client Services globally for the risk management
division of the Misys Group. Christensen also served as a Principal
and Director of Risk Management and Derivatives Trading Systems
at Fusion Systems Group, Inc. in New York.
The
integration services team is bolstered by the addition of Juan Lando
and Jonathan Amsterdam. Lando has 17 years of financial technology
experience specializing in the design and implementation of market
and credit risk management solutions, financial analytics, global
project management, and process re-engineering. Prior to joining
DataSynapse, Lando was a Senior Manager in the Financial Services
Industry practice at Andersen's Business Consulting division. Before
Andersen, he was the co-founder and CEO of RiskAnalytics, a leading
derivatives and risk management software firm subsequently acquired
by CapitalObjects. Jonathan Amsterdam, PhD, brings a similar entrepreneurial
background to the team with more than 20 years experience in developing
high-performance, mission-critical business applications. Prior
to joining DataSynapse, Amsterdam was founder and president of Astrel,
Inc., a Java training and consulting firm whose clients included
many of the Fortune 50. He has also served in the fixed-income analytics
group at Lehman Brothers.
Additionally,
David Markowitz has been added to help crystallize the company's
product positioning for targeted industries and oversee the marketing
of the DataSynapse product lines. Prior to joining DataSynapse,
David was a Vice President at Caminus Corp., a leading provider
of energy trading, risk management and scheduling systems where
he served in numerous functional areas including software operations,
product management, sales, business development, project management
and key account management. David was a key member of the management
team leading the growth of the company through its successful IPO.
