Bayly Martin & Fay was a medium-sized national insurance broker that is now part of AON.

The Bass Brothers acquired Bayly Martin & Fay in a 1984 divestiture from S&H (the trading stamp company). Mr. Schnitzer was asked to join the investor group in 1985 to provide industry knowledge and management oversight.

Bayly Martin & Fay was transformed from a virtually bankrupt business into a solidly profitable firm with several areas of recognized industry specialization. In 1989, Bayly Martin & Fay was acquired by AON.
